Episode 6: Whirling Bonds
Translation notes
[1] A kagami-mochi is a pair of stacked mochi cakes traditionally made for New Year's and eaten shortly thereafter. "Gami," the name of the monster, is apparently short for kagami-mochi.
Right on the cusp of the new year, an explosion of wishes erupted. They merged into a single form, a massive monster taking the form of a kagami-mochi.
Hiyori
How could this happen...
Rei
We need to get the guests away from here before anything else! I feel an ominous aura coming from this creature.
Yui
Huh... Is it trying to say something?
Gami
I... I can't fix my comb! My puppy ran away! Mommy! Where are you!? [1]
Rei
All sorts of desires are being blended together... This will be a difficult opponent to face.
Gami
Roaaaar!!
Hiyori
Ah, watch out!!
Rei
It's going on a rampage!
Yuuki
1. "Is everyone okay?"

We're all good! But all of those wishes have gathered together...

The wishes are possessing more and more kagami-mochi cakes!

There isn't much time until the new year. But if this goes on, they're going to end up possessing more than just mochi...

But we're not gonna lose! Isn't that right? Yui, Rei, Yuuki!

Hiyori
Huh? The kagami-mochi's running off somewhere!
Yui
It's going to escape the shrine! We have to stop it quickly!
Rei
No, this is good! It would be more dangerous for it... or rather, them, to say inside the shrine.
Yuuki
1. "Let's lure it down the path."
Yui
Then, it would've been safer if we'd kept all of the guests near the shrine. ... Will we be able to fight while keeping them safe?
Yuuki
1. "If we're all outside, then we can fight with all our strength."
Rei
Exactly. Let's give it all we've got from here on out!
Hiyori
I'll fight even harder, too!
Youth
Everyone! Leave this area to us!
Man
The monsters in the shrine are nothing -- don't worry about a thing! Go take out those guys out there!
Rei
Yes, leave it to us!
Hiyori

It's pretty tough...! This is the last one...!
Yui
It's far tougher than any of the kagami-mochis we faced before...
Hiyori
I don't know if we can beat it if it's so tough... Yuuki, what should we do?
Yuuki
1. "If you all combine your powers, you should be able to win."
Hiyori
Got it! Then, I'll hit it with a big boom!
Yui
Then, I'll start by deflecting one of its attacks, and I'll let you two handle the rest.
Rei
Just leave it to us... We've got one chance. Yui, here it comes!
Begin animated cutscene.
Yuuki powers everyone up. Gami charges, and Yui blocks its charge.
Rei
I've got you!
Rei pierces its shell.
Hiyori
And now for the final blow!
Hiyori punches Gami, causing it to explode.
Yui
Everyone, good work.
Yuuki
Good work!
Rei
We've finally cleaned this all up.
Hiyori
It's finally over!
Yuuki
We've got to head back soon...
The clock strikes.
Hiyori
Does that mean...!?
Rei
It seems like it.
Yui
I didn't realize at all...
